A Message of Profound Endurance

Last week, like many of you, I was searching for guidance. Of late, things seem to change almost on a daily basis.

Possibly even hourly...

I've been asking spirit to show me my next actions. A way to support both myself and this community.

There are so many ways for us all to show up...

A Message of Profound Endurance

Later that afternoon I sat in meditation. I had been called to join a group meditation with the intention of sending Reiki energy to the world as guided by Divine Wisdom.

I left my own fears and feelings out of the equation. This is how I frame my intention for all healing sessions. It is very liberating to simply ask for 'whatever is for the highest and greatest good as determined by the Divine Source.'

As I sank into the energy, breathing out, sinking into my body, detaching from some-thing, disappearing into no-thing, then expanding into every-thing, I felt a sense of deep peace. As I sat in infinite possibilities, a message filtered through my heart chakra - three simple words.

"The Ginko tree," is what I heard.

What Does it Mean?

Later, a chill ran down my spine when I found the symbolic meaning of Ginko tree. The fan shaped leaves are a symbol of longevity.

But what struck me most is that the Ginko tree is a symbol of 'PROFOUND ENDURANCE', which relates to the fact that 4 Ginko trees survived the blast of Hiroshima and are still growing today.

4... 4leafs of healing.

The symbolic meaning of 4 is even more profound in the context of world Pandemic:

"The number 4 is a number of “being”, it is the number that connects mind-body-spirit with the physical world of structure and organization. Four symbolizes the safety and security of home, the need for stability and strength on a solid foundation of values and beliefs."

Taking this symbolism even further... Hiroshima is a city in Japan. Which is where Reiki was re-discovered in the early 1900s. Reiki is a holistic therapy which promotes deep relaxation, supporting the body to tap into its natural ability to restore optimal wellness.

Reiki is primarily a way to energetically connect to our own healing, whole-ing capacity on all levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Profound endurance - a timely message for us all.

Like the Ginko tree, human resilience is all enduring. We are all being called to hold deep compassion in our hearts for the suffering of our planet, the animals and fellow human beings. We are all interconnected and like the 4 Ginko trees, we are reminded to tend to our foundations, our homes, our neighbours and our world.

How do we do this?

The simple answer is this: by taking care of ourself, our own energetic boundaries and by taking responsibility for how we show up in the world at large.
